East Village Green is a proposed 4.1-acre, multi-block park in the East Village neighborhood of Downtown San Diego. This park is an important component in the overall park and open space plan for Downtown, and will provide an engaging and interactive place for residents, employees, and visitors to play, gather, and participate in community events. East Village has grown into one of Downtown San Diego’s most vibrant neighborhoods, and the addition of East Village Green will support its sense of community and enhance its livability.
A community workshop was held on March 28, 2015 at the New School of Architecture and Design in the East Village and attracted 80 residents and interested community members. In addition to an overview of the park site, attendees also had the chance to vote on a variety of amenities and services they would like to see in the Park, as well as provide any additional comments.
It is crucial that the neighbors and residents who will use East Village Green have a chance to give their feedback on what amenities and services are important to them, as well as provide input on the proposed park plans.
If you missed the first workshop, we still want to get your feedback! Visit the park’s website and take the survey to provide your input. Also, sign up for the East Village Green e-mail list to be notified when the next meeting is scheduled and stay informed of upcoming events.
We look forward to hearing from you!
