The City of San Diego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, October 27th at 9 am to either approve, conditionally approve, or deny the appeal by Sergio Gonzalez of the Civic San Diego Board of Directors’ approval of Centre City Development Permit/Planned Development Permit/ Neighborhood Use Permit (CCDP/PDP/NUP) No. 2015-73 for Cisterra’s 7th & Market Project. The meeting will take place at the City Council Chambers, 202 C Street, 12th floor.

This truly mixed-use project includes on site affordable and market rate housing, commercial office space, a Ritz Carlton, which would be downtown’s first 5-star hotel, a much-desired Whole Foods gourmet grocery, and several outdoor open space areas, plus a café, street retail and a public restroom. It will also contribute millions of dollars to new affordable housing, as well as restore the historic Clermont Hotel and maintain it as an SRO. This is exactly the kind of urban infill the City Council should be supporting.
