• 1st Annual SD Fringe Festival in East Village

  East Village, considered San Diego’s hip, urban, artsy neighborhood plays host to the First Annual San Diego Fringe Festival July 1-7, 2013. More than 50 artists from San Diego and around the world will present performances at 10th Avenue Theatre and Arts Centre, Space4Art, NewSchool of Architecture & Design, and Seaport Village.

  

• East Village Appreciation Night @ Petco Park on June 20th

  June 20th is East Village Appreciation Night at Petco Park! Celebrate the East Village community spirit! The East Village Association presents the Second Annual East Village Appreciation Night at Petco Park. East Village residents, members, businesses, friends, neighbors, and community organizations are invited to purchase specially priced tickets to the Padres vs. Dodgers game. Gather with friends and neighbors and enjoy a member mixer at The Counter. Enjoy complimentary appetizers and Happy Hour drink specials, then head off to the Padres vs. Dodgers game.

  

• East Village Association, Inc. Elects Eight Board Members to Serve Two-Year Terms

  The East Village Association, Inc., the nonprofit corporation that manages the East Village Business Improvement District, held its annual meeting and election on May 15, 2013 at the Blind Burro. Eight EVA members were elected to the Board of Directors.

  

• car2go Awarded 2013 East Village BID Business of the Year

  During the EVA annual meeting, car2go was awarded the 2013 East Village BID Business of the Year. Car2go began operations in East Village San Diego in November 2011. Car2go is a groundbreaking mobility program redefining transportation. A wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, this sustainable, car sharing program allows its members to use the all-electric Smart car for as long as they like without committing to a specific return time or location within their Home Area.
