A new interactive online map developed by GIS technology company Esri (www.esri.com) offers users the ability to view curated selections of some of the best spots in San Diego. The aim behind the map is to help users make the most of their time during their visit, while also capturing the creative energy, iconic landmarks, stunning architecture, and eateries around town. It’s like having a tour guide; only you can explore the city at your own pace!

Test drive the interactive online map for yourself at http://storymaps.esri.com/stories/shortlist-sandiego/.

Scroll throughout the map to explore the city and watch the map markers magically refresh to display East Village hot spots such as Petco Park, the new Central Library, Car2Go’s headquarters, and the Harbor Drive pedestrian bridge. Looking for a place to grub? The map has got you covered. Featured cafes and restaurants include The Mission, The Neighborhood, Bar BASIC, Zanzibar Cafe, and Cafe Chloe, to name a few.
