Please join us for a special evening at San Diego Central Library presenting local author Carl Vonderau and his featured book, Saving Myles. When the FBI can't help free his son from kidnappers, unassuming banker Wade takes matters into his own hands and joins a bank owned by a drug cartel to negotiate. He gets his son back. But now, enmeshed with the cartel, he needs to save his family. Carl Vonderau grew up in Cleveland in a very religious family and went to college in California. He has been an international banker and lived and worked internationally. He brought his banking expertise to his debut thriller, Murderabilia, as well to his latest novel Saving Myles. He has won Left Coast Crime, San Diego, and American Book Fest awards. He's president of the San Diego chapter of Sisters in Crime, a member of Blackbird Writers, and also helps nonprofits through San Diego Social Venture Partners.
