The following nine East Village Association, Inc. members were elected to the Board of Directors to serve two-year terms from June 2, 2016 to May 31, 2018.

Need a quick ride around the downtown area? The Free Ride is a FREE shuttle service that runs 12noon to 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 12noon to 11:00 p.m. on weekends. EVA is continuing to work on a variety of mobility/parking/transportation programs.

The Suja Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and ½ Marathon returns for it’s 19th year. Run through historic neighborhoods such as Balboa Park and Old Town.

Fixit Clinics at San Diego Central Library
Running every 2nd Saturday throughout the year, this unique program is designed to promote recycling and encourage tinkerers and repairers of all types to “fix it “versus “pitch it”.

SCAM ALERT – GO-Biz Imposter
GO-Biz was alerted that several businesses in the San Diego area have been contacted from a 916 phone number by an individual claiming to be a “GO-Biz representative” demanding that the business owner send money or their “business license will be terminated.” This is not a legitimate call. GO-Biz does not collect money from business owners for licensing. This is also not the first time this has happened – previous attempts have traced these activities to identify thieves or out of state call centers.

If businesses in your area are contacted please let them know they should NOT respond and alert GO-Biz directly via our website Please share with your networks and help us get the word out about these scams.
