The East Village Association (EVA) is currently soliciting applications for new East Village Board Members. If you are interested in being considered, you must fulfill the eligibility requirements.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors, the nominees must agree to the following:
- The nominee must agree with the Purpose of the Corporation (below);
- The nominee must commit to attending Board meetings unless previously excused stated in the EVA Bylaws;
- The nominee must serve on at least one standing committee of the Board.
PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION
The primary objectives and purposes of this Corporation shall be:
- To bring about the revitalization of the the District area.
- To bring about the investment of private and public capital within the District area for public benefit and charitable purposes.
- To bring about the increased provision of quality public improvements and educational, cultural, artistic, charitable, and social services within the District area for public benefit and charitable purposes.
- To bring about the increased economic well-being of residents, employees, and businesses within the District.
